Embellished Ring – Nov 16
This one-day workshop will take students on a journey into the creative possibilities of ring construction. Starting with the basics, students will be able to adapt their ring designs to meet their personal skill level and style.
Taking standard ring making up a notch, your instructor will teach you to construct a tapered ring shank with the addition of a creatively embellished bezel and large stone. Techniques will include how to use different bezel wires, new ideas for including stones as focal points, and various methods of applying embellishments. From creating their own twisted wire, to applying decorative silver balls, to cutting out shapes from silver sheet, students will be equipped with a number of choices for enhancing their truly one-of-a-kind rings.
Many great tips and tricks will be taught over the weekend, giving students the tools to push their design and fabrication skills, while building confidence. This course has a lot of flexibility, and welcomes students from all skill levels!
No experience necessary.
With small class sizes, you will have the opportunity for in-depth lessons and one-on-one assistance.
All of the materials and equipment are provided for this class and no experience is necessary. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, your hair tied back, and no scarves or loose clothing (such as long open sleeves that could pose a safety hazard).
